 May 31 & June 1, 2008 - Grass Tourney Series at Harford Community College Saturday: Despite the weather forcast, we had a great turn out for all our divisions! We saw a lot of new faces over the weekend and after talking with everyone, we feel we are finally getting our A and BB divisions taking off in the right direction. We got in about 3 hours of play before the rain came, then about an hour after that we had to go into a Lightning Delay, which lasted for just over an hour. During the delay, Tim and I had a Slip-n-Slide contest; Tim won with an amazing launch of 33 feet, I came up short right behind him with a 32 footer. For those who saw it, they said it was very funny. After the delay, the rain subsided and the sun came out just as we started Men's OPEN playoffs. Sunday: Sunday was a beautiful day, with just under 20 COED teams to play our A and BB divisions! Same as Saturday, we saw a lot of new faces and everyone was very complimentary of our tourney and can't wait to come back. Apparently we do things differently then other Tourney directors in the region, and one person said they could tell our Tourneys are "Run by Players, for Players." That pretty much sums it up!
